CBO FTW!!!

2009 July 16 post from voodoo

I must admit I'm secretly a CBO (Congressional Budget Office) fanboy!  The CBO is one government organization that has somehow resisted the bureaucracy, corruption and greed, and simply performs their job of providing clear objective facts which has served to be a thorn in the side of many administrations.

We can only imagine how inconvenient their recent numbers on Obama's proposed healthcare plan must be.  The CBO states the blatantly obvious, to the dismay of the socialists in DC, that socialized healthcare will NOT fix the impending Medicare financial crisis, but will instead balloon government costs (more debt) and obligations.

Of course, I still hold that the true purpose of this is a smoke and mirrors shell game to take the catastrophically failing Medicare and roll it into an even bigger monster with more taxes and penalties on the private sector in order to turn a failure into a 'success'.  I will bet money we will see a proposed revamped govt. retirement program very similarly to save the Social Security system in the next few years.
