PHL Airport Baggage Worker Charged with Theft from Luggage
A baggage handler supervisor for American Airlines has been arrested on charges of pilfering expensive items from travelers' luggage at Philadelphia International Airport.
Christopher Shaw, 37, of Reading, Pa., is a 20-year veteran of American Airlines. Police say Shaw stole several items of brand-new clothing from a passenger's luggage, then tried to return them for cash at a Nordstrom department store in King of Prussia.
He is charged with two counts of theft.
These folks should be charged with domestic terrorism. They're making our airlines UNSAFE. There's no reason it should be risky to check baggage...it's supposed to be secure end-to-end. And if this guy can take stuff from the luggage, he can also add stuff. Surely, he'll meet Islamic missionaries in prison who will be looking for people to do their dirty work.

Add to that, 75% of all cargo packages aren't scanned going onto commercial planes, only travelers luggage.
